A current project that I’m working on requires a stop motion programme until I can find  one that works with my camera.  I thought  I would try the app I can animate which can be bought form the app store here for only £1.99 on my iphone to see how good it is.  Here is my review.

This is a wonderfully easy to use app and a wonderfully easy to use interface and simple to understand. Once you have completed your piece you can export it to your camera roll on your iPhone, then move this to your own computer. The only criticism that I have of this app is that I seem to have only been able to export my finished pieces at a low resolution of around 360p. I’m not sure if this would be the same if  I was using an iPhone  4 or 4s.

The app has an onion skin feature which allows you to see the position of your new shot over the old, allowing you to correct for errors easily as well as an undo feature.

This is basically a cut down version of the software called I Can Animate.

I would like to see a feature that allows you to export direct to YouTube from your phone in a future update perhaps.

In all I would give this app four out of five stars.
